Postcards are a special case. A great bargain but there's a catch.

If the card exceeds Postal size limits -- even by an eyelash -- the price jumps to 37 cents, the full letter rate.

MAXIMUM SIZE:                           23 cents


4.25" high (vertical) x 6" long (horizontal)



MINIMUM SIZE:                           23 cents


3.5" high (vertical) x 5" long (horizontal)


Double Postcard                         23 cents


       Only if half the double card is a business reply card.
       

Vertical/horizontal directions are determined by the orientation of the address. When reading the address, that dimension becomes the horizontal. Do not turn the mailpiece 90 degrees so that it is much taller than it is wide. If you do this, you will have to pay postage surcharges.
